Gareth Birch has been appointed managing director of Deacon following Nigel Feast’s decision to focus on our customers in the newly created role of Customer Relationship Director.
Gareth, who joined Arthur J. Gallagher as managing director of the group’s Leisure division in 2015, brings more than 20 years’ experience to the role. A long career at JLT, covering leisure, property, commercial affinities, SME and online units, culminated in his appointment as Head of UK Retail.
Gareth said: “Nigel, who has been MD of Deacon since 2012, commands huge respect in the insurance market and I am delighted he will continue to be part of the team. Our main focus now is to ensure we have a seamless transition and maintain the award-winning service levels valued by our customers.”
