Deacon Insurance Client Services manager Mark Savage has become an Honorary Consultant for the Federation of Private Residents Associations (FoPRA). The Association’s 25-strong panel of professionals, from surveyors and solicitors to insurers and estate managers, brings a comprehensive range of specialist blocks of flats expertise to the table. They are able to respond to FPRA members’ request for advice on how to run their buildings lawfully and efficiently.

FoPRA is a not-for-profit independent advice service that has been helping private Resident Management & Right to Manage Companies and Residents’ Associations since 1971. It is made up of a team of Directors, committee members and Honorary Consultants who work together to achieve the Federations goals of providing advice and support for private residents’ associations.

The Federation of Private Residents’ Associations actively campaigns and lobbies on behalf of private sector leaseholders and resident management companies. It provides lease advice, gives leaseholders a voice and influence with government and the media, including representation on working parties and other consultation exercises.

Mark Savage said: “I’ve been working with blocks of flats insurance for two decades and, from underwriting to claims, I’ve probably found solutions to most of the insurance problems block managers face. I hope that by sharing my knowledge I can help more people.”
